What happens on the day my number moves to Vodafone?

• On the day your number is due to move, put your Vodafone SIM in your phone and switch it on
• The number move will happen between 11am and 6pm. Please switch your phone containing your new Vodafone SIM off and on during the course of the day.
• If it doesn’t happen by midnight, please switch your phone, containing your Vodafone SIM, off and on again. If you’re still experiencing issues after that, please get in touch.
• When your number’s been moved across, we’ll send you a text to welcome you on board

Additional info for iPhone users

When you move your number to us, you may need to update a few settings on your phone to make sure that it’s all set up for the number you want to use.

How to update your phone number:

1. Go to Settings > Phone > My Number
2. Enter your chosen number, using +44 instead of the first 0
3. Tap Save

Reset iMessage settings

1. Go to Settings > Messages
2. Toggle iMessage ON
3. Scroll down and click Send & Receive, to replace the temporary number with your chosen number.
