How do I create variable term contracts?
Service products with variable commitment lengths can be set up in The Layer via the "Edit Product" screen within Settings -> Service [Category] -> Edit.
Variable term services can also be marked during import by specifying and mapping the IsVariable column.
Upon selecting a variable commitment length in the quotation product manager, you'll be presented with additional options:
- Custom Term - enabling you to specify the total term
- Custom Term (OGR) - enabling you to specify how many months should be taken into account when calculating OGR
The default values provided are those specified against the service product. Overriding these affects wholesale and OGR profit sources only.
