How do I search for a service asset number in the Layer?

You can search for any numbers (MSISDN) that are assets within the Layer, to do this simply type the number e.g. mobile number, msisdn, ctn, gtn etc. into the global search box on the top right corner, do not press enter and select from the search result that populates. In our example we have searched for a mobile number:

The Layer will then redirect you towards the Edit Service window within the customer record:

Please note MSISDN may appear as GTN, CTN, Mobile No. etc. in your instance depending on how your instance has been configured.

Within this window you can amend the service if appropriate, once you have viewed the information you require simply press close and you will be able to view the customer record.

If you close this window and realise you need to find it again, you can open the window again by pressing My Product option on the left-hand side of the customer record.

Please note that some search functions are permissions based for example your permissions will determine whether you can search a customer or a lead record. Some users deal only with lead records so therefore the Layer will return results that are permitted according to their search permissions.

If you perform a search that returns no results, it may be as a result of your permissions and not because no records exist. Please speak to your CRM administrator if you feel that you are missing some permissions.
