We now have a more sophisticated search method when searching just for contact details or address details. This will make it easier to identify records that are already on your system and reduce the risk of duplicates being created.

N.B. This is a permissions based role (Search All Record Types) if you do not have this permission please speak to your administrator. 

How to Access the Contact and Address Searches

You can find the specific contact and address searches by clicking on the hamburger menu beside the global search at the top of the page. 

This will produce a drop down menu which will include the Address and Contact searches.

Address Search

Once you have clicked into the Address you will see the following screen, which shows all the address components that you are able to search for. 

For each field, you will have the option to search for text that is matches exactly, is only contained or for what the field starts or ends with. This specification can be chosen from the drop down menu highlighted above. 

You also have the option to specify whether you would like the search results to include only customers, only leads or both. 

N.B. You can search for more than one field at once however the reults will only include addresses that meet both requirements.

When the reults have loaded you can use the hyperlink to take you to the record or you can go to Change Search to search again. 

N.B.  Records can appear more than once in your search if they have multiple addresses that both meet your search requirements. 

Contact Search

Once you have clicked into the Contact Searchyou will see the following screen, which shows all the contatc components that you are able to search for. 

Similar to the address search you will specify whether you want to search for a field exactly, to contain, start or end with your text. You can also specify whether you would like your results to include customers, leads or both.

Again you can use the links to go to the record or use Change Search to search again.
