How to make The Layer files accessible in the Customer Portal

In situations when you need to send your clients a file either due to their query or as a part of the tariff analysis you can make them accessible straight from The Layer without sending large files via email.

Permission

To be able to mark the file within the customer record as 'Portal Enabled' you need to have this permission:

Enable Files 

The permission will give the user an option to enable the files on the customer portal. To do this, in a customer record go to the ‘Files’ tab which opens up the ‘File Manager’ window.

Click on the cross against the file which you want to make available in the customer portal and the cross will then change into a tick.

This means that all files marked as portal enabled are accessible in the customer portal. See our example below.

The customer can also use our search function to narrow down the list of files presented.
